Staines Melody (Bred by Mrs Wendy Merryman & owned by Miss Salima Keswani, and leased to Frongoch Stud for 2004/5) Melody, who has a fantastic show record, including female champion at The Royal of England as a youngster, has been kindly leased to us for breeding purposes. Melody is by the supreme champion and premium winner Frongoch Meical (see photo below), a full brother to our mare Frongoch Megan, and out of the stunning mare Synod Maddie, who has bred some wonderful foals for the Staines Stud. She like, our other mares has been cover by Putwell Carreg Llwyd, and has produced a filly foal!. Many thanks to Sal for leasing her to us! Her filly foal Frongoch Alaw has been retained for breeding by Emma.
Putwell Carreg Llwyd in his white coat! PUTWELL CARREG LLWYD 35466 b.1990 We consider ourselves to be incredibly privileged having been allowed to lease the legendary Putwell Carreg Llwyd from breeder Bill Pounder and his daughter Barbara Green. ‘Carreg’ had been running with our mares in 2004, and is the sire of this years foals. He was a joy to have at Frongoch, being both sensible but full of charm! Carreg needs no introduction as a previous winner of numerous shows and championships, including the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, Glanusk Stallion Show, Lampeter Stallion Show, and in 2000 Reserve Supreme In-hand at the Royal of England (having taken the male Section ‘A’ Championship, with our own Frongoch Cardi (yearling) Reserve to him). 
Megan was the first foal out of Baledon Chelsea Model (see 'Baledon advert WPCS Journal 2002), and a full sister to Champion Frongoch Meical 28082, 84195 Frongoch Marybella (Scurry Champion as one of the pair known as 'Witch and the Titch') and Frongoch Moonlight Magic 30707 (RWAS winner). Megan has bred some super foals including Frongoch Branwen and Frongoch Briallen. Megan passed away in 2005 at 22 and will be sadly missed, but we have retained 2 of her daughters to carry on the line.

Swyn is a wonderful mare to own - full of quality and has real character. We purchased her in 1997, and since then she had bred outstanding foals. Frongoch Carlos 52472 (by Llwynan Flash 29948) who was an incredible little pony and won red rosettes wherever he went including Aberystwyth, Cheshire County etc. Unfortunately he passed away in his yearling year. Frongoch Cardi was born in 1999 by Scrafton Pepe 32149, and needs no introduction, and Frongoch Carwyn was her 2002 edition, by the gorgeous Revel Jack 33057, identical to his dam. 2003 bought us Frongoch Cariad - her first filly whilst with us. Cariad is now owned by Michelle and her first foal is being eagerly awaited. During her time with us, Swyn has been lightly shown and has collected many a prize in County Shows. One memorable occasion was Cheshire County Show (1999) when she took Reserve Section A Champion (her sons Cardi and Carlos also won their respective classes) and was presented to HRH The Princess Royal.

Rosina has wonderful bloodlines. Her mother Ceulan Pheasant won Lampeter Stallion Show as a yearling, and was one of the foundation mares here at Frongoch. Her sire, Frongoch Meical was sold to Mr & Mrs Parry Jones as a yearling, and was kept as their stud stallion for a number of years. Later he was awarded a Premium at Glanusk Stallion show, before being sold to Mr & Mrs Merryman of the Staines stud, where he has been shown very successfully winning countless championships. She has bred a number of prize-winning foals including 116685 Frongoch Tlws (Sold FOS 1999), Frongoch Tegan (2002) and Frongoch Trysor (2003).
