Location:
Frongoch stud is situated in Mid Wales, near the beautiful university town of Aberystwyth. Where the hills meet the sea, Aberystwyth is home to the Welsh Pony & Cob Society Office, which has a museum housing artefacts relating to the Welsh Breeds. Well worth a visit.
Aberystwyth is perfect as a base to travel throughout Wales, being within easy travelling distance of both Lampeter (30 miles) and Builth Wells (50 miles).
How to find us:
From Aberystwyth:
We are situated only five miles north of Aberystwyth on the A487 (towards Machynlleth). Follow the road through the village of Bow Street and you will pass "The Rhyd-y-Pennau Inn" on your right. Passing the Pub, turn first right towards the village of Dole. Drive through the small hamlet and Bryngwyn Isaf Farm is the first farm on the right (signposted).
From Llangurig (Builth Wells/Rhayader/Shrewsbury):
Follow the A44 towards Aberystwyth. Having driven through a village named Capel Bangor, continue on the road for approximately 2 miles until you see a large junction on your right. Turn right onto the A4159 towards Machynlleth (A487). Continue on the road until you come to a T-Junction. Turn right and follow the afore mentioned route from Aberystwyth.
From Machynlleth:
Follow the A487 through the village of Talybont. Follow the road for approximately two miles, until you see a sign for Dole on your left hand side. Turn towards the village. Drive through the small hamlet and Bryngwyn Isaf Farm is the first farm on the right (signposted).
